The world has achieved brilliance without wisdom, power without
conscience.
Ours is a world of nuclear giants and ethical infants.
We know more about war that we know about peace, more about killing
that we know about living.
-- Omar N. Bradley, U.S. general (1893-1981)

I personally couldn't agree more. Think of the mindset of infants. They are primarily motivated by needs. When content, they are happy. If a desire presents itself, all rationality goes out the window. Likewise, the world is a day care where sometimes the toy care(i.e.-resources of the world) are not in abundance for the toddlers and infants(i.e.-nations) to enjoy. Not possessing higher mental faculties as of yet, the strongest one will be able to obtain and enjoy the toy car. I shake my head almost daily when I hear of conflicts around the world, especially ones where my own nation has played a key role in fermenting.
