http://literarydiscussions.myfreeforum.org/ftopic911.php

literarydiscussions: i am reposting at my board, the work on Brokeback
Mountain

IranianPhysician: hi sitaram

IranianPhysician: oh good

IranianPhysician: am eager to read it

IranianPhysician: how are you?

literarydiscussions: ok... you might enjoy joining the ennisjake.com
message board (i think that is the link)... on brokeback mountain movie

literarydiscussions: http://www.ennisjake.com It is kind of touching and
insighful

IranianPhysician: oh thank you

literarydiscussions: you know, as a physician... it will help you at such a
board to gain a vision and insight into they psychodynamics of human
sexuality, and also, our great need to be loved and cherished

IranianPhysician: yes I understand

IranianPhysician: where you put brokeback mountain?

IranianPhysician: cant see it
IranianPhysician: havent you posted yet?
IranianPhysician: it doesnt come that page

http://literarydiscussions.myfreeforum.org/ftopic913.php

http://literarydiscussions.myfreeforum.org/ftopic911.php

literarydiscussions: that last is the real link to my thoughts

literarydiscussions: right... but... there are differences
IranianPhysician: I know
IranianPhysician:
literarydiscussions: i see you as a BEAUTIFUL childlike bug in a fairystory.... not a speck on a white cloth
IranianPhysician: haha true

IranianPhysician: that page doesnt open I wonder why

literarydiscussions: the actor in the movie who plays Jack has these
beautiful dreamy eyes... sensuous, like a woman's eye.... whereas the
actor who plays Ennis has these narrow, beady eyes, which bear a
stricking resemblence to George Bush

IranianPhysician: oh interesting

literarydiscussions: of course, george bush makes me real horny (just
kidding)

literarydiscussions: ha ha

IranianPhysician:

IranianPhysician: wow beter to die trying than try dieing?

IranianPhysician: I like that

literarydiscussions: oh... you i can tell this too..

IranianPhysician: yes tell me

literarydiscussions: that is straight out of my chat with my step son about
his mom the other night

IranianPhysician: yes?

literarydiscussions: i said that she seems sicker with the transplant, than on dialysis

IranianPhysician: oh no

literarydiscussions: but, if she never gave transplant a try.... she would
always wonder...
IranianPhysician: yes

literarydiscussions: so.. she would rather DIE TRYING, than try dieing

IranianPhysician:

IranianPhysician: yes yes!!!

literarydiscussions: but, i chatted with him while i was writing on BBM
(brokeback mountain)...

literarydiscussions: so, i threw it in...

literarydiscussions: because... well, the two men ... well, ennis del mar
(with george bush eyes).... fears to live with jack, because as a child, he
saw a middle aged gay man (who was open about it), brutally tortured
and murdered...

literarydiscussions: much like that boy in the mid west (colorado?) who
was dragged behind a truck, and killed

literarydiscussions: a gay boy, that some fellow in a bar tricked into going
with them into the wilderness

IranianPhysician: ennis scares that jack is a gay?

literarydiscussions: NOOOO...... ennis explains to jack that if they were to
get a ranch together, and share life... then they might be murdered by
the homophobes

literarydiscussions: do you think you will see the movie... because i do not
want to spoil it for you

literarydiscussions: how do you feel about spoilers

IranianPhysician: I can not find it here!

literarydiscussions: ok...

literarydiscussions: well... Jack IS ultimately killed by homophobes....

IranianPhysician: here they hang homosexuals!!!

literarydiscussions: yes.... i imagine...

literarydiscussions: sex can be hazardous to ones health

IranianPhysician: what is a homophobe?

literarydiscussions: phobia = fear

IranianPhysician: yes

literarydiscussions: homo = homosexual

IranianPhysician: ah

IranianPhysician: I see

literarydiscussions: when you read my chat with the black man in the
laundry room... he is a homophobe...

literarydiscussions: He called me gay simply because i mentioned that i
saw the film

IranianPhysician: they are not gay these two people are they?

IranianPhysician: oh how strange!!!

literarydiscussions: ennis and jake are working together in wilderness as
sheep herders.... and one night, they get drunk... and ennis penetrates
jack

literarydiscussions: i keep saying JAKE but it is JACK

literarydiscussions: I will break my habbit

literarydiscussions: habit
IranianPhysician:

IranianPhysician: then they are homosexuals

IranianPhysician: without s
IranianPhysician: and they decide to live together?
IranianPhysician: tell me I didnt get
literarydiscussions: ok...
literarydiscussions: listen
literarydiscussions: they are age 19 or so
IranianPhysician: oh

literarydiscussions: ennis has never had sex with anyone

IranianPhysician: yes
IranianPhysician: I read

literarydiscussions: jack most likely HAS had homosexual relations...
literarydiscussions: but the story leaves things open to imagination

IranianPhysician: oh

literarydiscussions: you know how stories are
IranianPhysician: no haha

literarydiscussions: they do not spell out everything
IranianPhysician: oh ok

literarydiscussions: so... anyway... ennis would probably have never tried
sex with a man...

literarydiscussions: BUT, they were together for weeks...

literarydiscussions: alone
literarydiscussions: and they drank all that whisky
literarydiscussions: alcohol
literarydiscussions: SO,... once it did happen... almost like a thing in ones
sleep... then... in morning... Ennis was really freaked out...

literarydiscussions: and distant
literarydiscussions: and said, "I am not queer"...
literarydiscussions: so... Jack replies, "Well, NEITHER am i a queer"
literarydiscussions: now... these lines become an important springboard
for discussion...

IranianPhysician: why?

literarydiscussions: BECAUSE.. both men go on to marry and have children

literarydiscussions: so... it is left an open question what it means to be queer

IranianPhysician: yes

literarydiscussions: which is part of the power of this fiction...

IranianPhysician:
literarydiscussions: and annie proulx... the author of the original story..
literarydiscussions: is a pulitzer prize winner for her literature

IranianPhysician: oh great

literarydiscussions: so... i found an entire message board JUST devoted to annie proulx

IranianPhysician:

IranianPhysician: what do you think queer means here?

literarydiscussions: well.... in the context of the dialogue, between ennis and jack...

literarydiscussions: for them, "queer" means someone who is openly gay, exclusively gay....

IranianPhysician: ah I see

literarydiscussions: but... their understanding of "queer" is driven by the
homophobia of their culture

IranianPhysician: yes yes
IranianPhysician: you know I think perhaps it because ..

IranianPhysician: like here that they think ..when someone is homosexual ..its like that he comes from mars!!!and its totally unbelievable or unaccepted what he does

literarydiscussions: stop and think about the analogy that exists between
life in a homophobic society, where heterosexual behavior is enforced,
and deviant behavior is punished.... and life for a non believer in a
"kaphirophobic" society, an islamic society

literarydiscussions: not to annoy you with religion

IranianPhysician: when they say am not queer...perhaps it means I am
just a human and its not very strange

literarydiscussions: oh no... that is not a possible interpretation with jake
and ennis..

IranianPhysician: I see homosexuality as a normal varriation

literarydiscussions: for the simple fact that they are farm boys, with not
even high school education

literarydiscussions: well, in the DSM II R (diagnostic and statistical manual
of mental disorders)... homosexuality was declassified as a pathology in
the 1970s

literarydiscussions: R=revised

IranianPhysician: but not now
IranianPhysician: I guess they have changed their definitions
IranianPhysician: you must read..DMS IV
literarydiscussions: WAIT... that means that Iran is CHANGING the DSM manual...
IranianPhysician: how come?
literarydiscussions: because i guarantee you that it is different over here
IranianPhysician: what you mean
literarydiscussions: duh.... ISLAM, QURAN, MUHAMMED, SHARIA, HADITH...
literarydiscussions: that is how come
literarydiscussions: what, you dont think they would rewrite the books on that issue
IranianPhysician: I dont know ..am not the one who decides,,I think its terribly unhuman to kill a man because he is homosexual
literarydiscussions: well... it is inhumane to cut off the foot and hand of a thief
IranianPhysician: yes
IranianPhysician: but that doesnt happen in iran
literarydiscussions: if they were driven to theft through poverty... then, as a cripple, they shall be even more pore
literarydiscussions: well... so what, it happens in saudi
IranianPhysician: they put him in prison
IranianPhysician: yes
literarydiscussions: and it is a genuine expression of the quran... straight out of muhammeds mouth
literarydiscussions: so... all this means is that iran is more wishy washy in islam than saudi or kabul under taliban
IranianPhysician: and when you see its because of psychiatric problems(and now its consider as a normal varriation)then yo see how cruel it is to punish someone for being homosexual
literarydiscussions: well, of course I SEE it... because i am not a monster living in a monstrous regime, conditioned by a monstrous ideology
IranianPhysician:
literarydiscussions: what I see and what someone like bin Laden sees are two very different things
IranianPhysician: I know
literarydiscussions: i know you know
literarydiscussions: but... i become enraged every time i think about certain things
IranianPhysician: yes
IranianPhysician: understandable
IranianPhysician: tell me one thing..what does this story wants to convey?
literarydiscussions: to be perfectly honest with you.... i become so enraged that I would possibly push the button on a nuclear strike to annihilate the kaaba and makka, to annihilate the fifth pillar (hajj) of islam.... and i mention this fact not to be cruel, or bait you...but to point out that OTHERS in the world think the same way...
IranianPhysician: haha
literarydiscussions: i want to point that out to you.... because of the danger that lies ahead in the world...
literarydiscussions: both sides..
literarydiscussions: and also.. you said yesterday i am so nice and sweet.....
IranianPhysician: yes
literarydiscussions: but one day, you may stumble across those of my writings that speak in this fashion...
IranianPhysician: I stil believe you are
literarydiscussions: so.. in spirit of honesty, i must forewarn you....
IranianPhysician: and I understand your feeling about it
literarydiscussions: but... i speak from the spirit of bringing to the worlds attention this unspeakable option.... so that something might be done now... by both sides... to alter the course of history
IranianPhysician: it makes us so angry those stupid rules those horrible leaders ..those silly laws...etc
literarydiscussions: and.. as you see now... there is trouble brewing over Irans policies...
literarydiscussions: regarding nuclear weapons...
IranianPhysician: yes
literarydiscussions: so... my speculations are not at all far fetched
IranianPhysician: dont be silly ..its all about politics
literarydiscussions: we must not bury our heads in the sand, and avoid the topic of pre-emptive genocide as a strategy
literarydiscussions: just as we stick our heads in sand, like osterrich bird, and do not speak about homosexuality, pedophilia, aids, and many other things
IranianPhysician:
literarydiscussions: this is one reason why our friendship, our talks, are so important to the world...
IranianPhysician: why?
literarydiscussions: because you see... two people such as us, from our very different cultures..
literarydiscussions: can meet and find common ground,...
literarydiscussions: can share, discuss
literarydiscussions: i am not mr. monster kaphir of satan's west...
literarydiscussions: and you are not ms. monstress terrorist jihadist
literarydiscussions: we are just two people...
literarydiscussions: the same at heart
IranianPhysician: yes
IranianPhysician: and we dont feel really different
literarydiscussions: but... it is the sheer inertia of governments and ideologies
IranianPhysician: true
literarydiscussions: and, you know, there are message boards in Egypt where women who are co-wives, discuss their hurt and bitterness at sharing their husband with another
IranianPhysician:
IranianPhysician: yes
literarydiscussions: so, that demonstrates their human side... that polygyny is NOT a natural state, for women
IranianPhysician: its terrible
IranianPhysician: yes
literarydiscussions: no normal woman wants to share her man with another...
IranianPhysician: true
literarydiscussions: males may delight in having several women
IranianPhysician: ha
literarydiscussions: but that is exclusively the pathology of the male
IranianPhysician: yes
literarydiscussions: when you put women in a stable... then of course you will treat them like animals and chattel (possessions)
IranianPhysician:
literarydiscussions: well, it is true
IranianPhysician: I know
literarydiscussions: a child is given in marriage to an older man.... how can that child fall in love, or know romance
literarydiscussions: it is like a medical suppository... for her... and not love
IranianPhysician: it makes me sad...I know how it is
literarydiscussions: sex is not supposed to be like an enema
IranianPhysician: I have seen examples which you can never imagine
IranianPhysician: they gave a retarded woman to an 80 year old guy
IranianPhysician: because she had no support
IranianPhysician: she was 25
literarydiscussions: you are supposed to mature in a safe environment, and then be free to make friends, and fall in love...
literarydiscussions: so.. the 80 yr old used her like an inflatable doll
IranianPhysician: yes and they had 3 children
IranianPhysician: then the guy died!!!!
literarydiscussions: with no concern about the genetics of her reproduction...
literarydiscussions: oy vey!
IranianPhysician: yes ..and the woman couldnt take care of herself let alone the children
literarydiscussions: i mean, if her retardation was genetic,...
IranianPhysician: and they had no money
literarydiscussions: and the whole idea of the Ummah, allegedialy, is a society in which all are cared for...
IranianPhysician: now you must excuse me ..i was waiting for a friend who is waiting....
literarydiscussions: ok...
literarydiscussions: bye
literarydiscussions: bye bug
IranianPhysician: but a sec
IranianPhysician: you dont mind if I share you poems with him
IranianPhysician: your
IranianPhysician: I love to show him your poems
literarydiscussions: sure.. i shared them with the world already...in public domain
IranianPhysician: thank you
literarydiscussions: i mean.. you never need to ask
IranianPhysician: give me the exat add pelase again
IranianPhysician: exact
literarydiscussions: hmmm... let me check
IranianPhysician: yes
literarydiscussions: they shut down my geocities site... for discussing islam
IranianPhysician: yes
IranianPhysician: show me the poem page
IranianPhysician: it was somewhere else
literarydiscussions: http://literarydiscussions.myfreeforum.org/ftopic768.php
IranianPhysician: no
literarydiscussions: i mean.. that is the first poem in the poetry showcase at my board
literarydiscussions: let me check this one... http://www.sitaram.0catch.com/poemindex.htm
IranianPhysician: there was an add which had all your poems
literarydiscussions: well, yeah, before geocities/yahoo closed it down...
literarydiscussions: and another place is aol.. but that is banned to you
literarydiscussions: blocked
IranianPhysician: no I have seen them somewhere else
IranianPhysician: whixh is not banned
IranianPhysician: cant remember though
IranianPhysician: it had also some of your writings about religon
literarydiscussions: oh... wait...
literarydiscussions: http://www.toosmallforsupernova.org/webindex.htm
literarydiscussions: somewhere there i think

literarydiscussions: at the bottom of that
literarydiscussions: of that page
IranianPhysician: yes this is it!
literarydiscussions: ok
IranianPhysician: thank you
IranianPhysician: I really liked that ..what altar!
literarydiscussions: take a look at this one though "Is Revelation Rhyme"
literarydiscussions: http://literarydiscussions.myfreeforum.org/ftopic768.php

literarydiscussions: well, you like what i write
