I just purchased the 8 CD set contaiing all 4000 plus issuse of "The New Yorker Magazine" from the first in 1925 through 2005. The very first story I read was "A Perfect Day for Banana Fish" by J.D. Salinger.
Some people say it is one of the greatest short stories of the 20th. century.
