Lost Poem

The SearchThe Search
I searched for peace everywhere
The sun, moon surpassing eternity
No region left untouched
Footprints leaving their mark
Of broken trust,
I searched for my essence beyond
The mountains, clouds and rivers
In the ether’s depths I never perceived
The answers I was to find
I remain unsatisfied,
Behind the eyelids of sleep
A stray dew weeping breathes,
“You will in your heart find
The sunlight’s hidden voice
A flower has grown by twilight,”
Where angels our hearts
With ancient truths purified
A sealed message God sent,
Lines etched deep – your palms
Speak the Truth of Life,
How will you define?
The Search,
Has the temple’s silence
Spoken or the mosque’s
Minaret pointed? Speak Earth!
You will never know
Mere human,
Incomprehension in your vision
How will you define existence?
From womb to mud living inwards.
