Neal: hey , whats up. I was reading your website, and thought it
was interesting how you and I are the same religion, but I never saw
the same things in my dreams
Sitaram: hello
Neal: hows life?
Sitaram: I almost didnt accept your message, since I get so much PM
spam.... glad I took a chance
Neal: haha
Sitaram: please visit my egroup email listserve, where I post
something every day,... with over 1300 posts to browse, (if you like)
Neal: okay
Sitaram: http://www.egroups.com/group/Sitaram
Sitaram: there, you may see what I have been thinking and reading
Neal: thanks, I have to go to the temple right now
Sitaram: welcome
Neal: bye
Sitaram: thanks for your time and interest
Neal: no, thanks you for your knowledge
Sitaram: I am merely a tool, doing my duty. The knowledge comes from
elsewhere, outside me,...it is not mine
Neal: May I ask you a question ? Why did you choose hinduism? when
there was three other symbols in your hand in your dream
Sitaram: also... visit http://www.sulekha.com the philosophy
section of their message board
Sitaram: I post there also, as well as others
Neal: thanks
Sitaram: I have a page entitled 'Why did you become Hindu" as well
as another page "Hinduism in a Nutshell"
Sitaram:
http://www.geocities.com/tulsidas_ramayan/page059.htm
Sitaram:
http://www.geocities.com/tulsidas_ramayan/page159.htm
Sitaram: page 59 and page 159
Sitaram: those two answer many questions about "why hinduism"
Neal: thanks because im not sure
Sitaram: you may find much "food for thought" at my website and
egroup
Sitaram: as well as the dialogues of many other people
Neal: do the other people have dreams too?
Sitaram: yes, some though, such dreams are rare, for some reason
Neal: yes, you have so much christian influence around you, how
come you didn't get pressured?
Sitaram: I am glad I accepted your IM, ... your named sounded
genuin, whereas other names are things like "Cam girl"
Sitaram: yes... pressure. I certainly received pressure from my
society...
Sitaram: I write much about such fundamentalist attacks, from
christians and also muslims, who attempt to convert
Sitaram: what is your age (I am 54)
Neal: im young
Neal: very young
Neal: 16
Sitaram: ok... and what is your gender (male,female)... just curious
Neal: male
Sitaram: ok
Sitaram: there are many pages at my website useful for young people
Neal: I just seem pressured with the many relgions surrounding me,
people asking me questions
Neal: like do you drink cow blood?
Neal: and why do you pray to elephants
Sitaram: I have some dialogues from young people who have been the
victim of such criticisms
Sitaram: Jesus is called "lamb of god" so christians in a sense pray
to a lamb
Sitaram: Ganapati (Ganesh) means "Lord of Hosts", and God is
called "Lord of hosts" in the bible
Neal: yeah, I have been mostly been made fun of by the christians
Neal: muslims seem to accept me more
Sitaram: muslims are more crafty and subtle....
Sitaram: but they are out to get you in the end
Sitaram: indian muslims are more tolerant than arab muslims
Neal: yeah
Neal: most of them are indian muslims
Sitaram: here is a good page for young people
Sitaram: Teenage Girl Questions Sexual Morality - Page 293
Sitaram: dialogue with young girl in India
Sitaram: aged 15 at the time
Neal: so are you planning to move to india?
Neal: or something like that or travel
Neal: do you know many caucasians who are converting to hindusim?
Sitaram: I would say that caucasians who become some form of hindu
or buddhist in usa number possibly 100,000 (just guessing), but that
is not a large number compared to usa population,... or world
population of 6.5 billion
Neal: do you think it will get any larger?
Sitaram: of course, hare krishna is one form of hinduism amoung
many, and most of those are white american (i am not hare krishna
though I respect and understand them
Neal: because of increasing knowlege and science and diversity in
the future?
Sitaram: the world took until 1830 to reach 1 billion population,
but by 1930 it had doubled to 2 billion... and from 1930 to now, it
has TRIPLED to 6 billion, and by 2030, estimates are 20 billion
Neal: but I dont think the world will get that large
Sitaram: so it is growing every faster, in exponentional rates
Sitaram: time will tell
Neal: because increased knowlegde
Neal: and more people will have only one to two babies
Sitaram: I have an interesting page for you "Earthly paradise is
within our grasp"
Neal: replacing both mother and father
Neal: keeping the growth rate the same
Neal: or decreasing
Sitaram: you may find all page titles at
http://www.geocities.com/tulsidas_ramayan/webindex.htm
Neal: thanks
Sitaram:
http://www.geocities.com/tulsidas_ramayan/page220.htm
Sitaram: Earthly Parasise is within our Grasp
Neal: what is that suppose to mean?
Sitaram: Did it every occur to anyone that PARADISE, earthly
paradise, IS ALREADY within the grasp of mankind?? whatever do I mean
by this strange statement??
Sitaram: very simply this: If all 6 billion humans united and worked
in harmony, this very moment,..... and through self-control,
abstinance... whatever means (birth control,
masturbation...whatever) ... if their goal was to reduce the world
population to ONE BILLION over the next 200 years... SIMPLY by
limiting reproduction....
Sitaram: then in a short 200 years... the earths population would be
at a reasonable stable level from an environmental point of view.....
Sitaram: Now what do I mean by "earthly paradise is in our
grasp".... I MEAN THAT, AFTER THE EARTH HAD RETURNED TO THE ONE
BILLION population level,.....over the next 200 years.... technology,
science, medicine, and a united world democracy, would make EVERYONE
independently wealthy, and disease free....
Sitaram: It is very obvious to us , even now... that computers and
robots and modern technology makes possible a level of production
(food and other materials) which does not require such a work force
as in previous centuries... and CERTAINLY DOES NOT require the slave
labor which was employed so many times in history....
Sitaram: So, humanity has it totally within their power, in theory,
to choose, to elect, to transform human life into a paradise of
wealth for all, free of disease...
Sitaram: But our own selfishness and greed, and our racial and
ethinic prejudices and nationalistic pride, will perhaps never allow
us to co-operate with one another, and to practice the personal
asceticism and self denial, to achieve such an end....
Sitaram: But even if humanity COULD manage to unite and discipline
to create such a UTOPIAN WORLD.... what would those people do with
all their free time, their leisure, their perfect health and
incredible life spans extended by genetic engineering and artificial
organ transplants??
Sitaram: Would they write poetry and create works of art....???
Sitaram: recite prayers and debate theology????
Sitaram: or would they have too much sex, drink and smoke too much,
and become bored and depressed??
Sitaram: end of excerpt
Neal: I think that with there time
Neal: they would see more into religions
Neal: and meditation and knowlege will be key
Sitaram: perhaps, ... perhaps not... look at television... one a few
educational stations, like history channel.... but many stations with
nonsense, gossip, comedy, cartoons
Sitaram: we have it in our power right now to make television an
educational paradise... but we do not do
that... we make it into a time waster
Neal: haha true
Sitaram: we could always carry a book with us, and read when we are
on train, etc... but instead, we carry video game
Neal: are you happy?
Neal: because when you reach high meditation and spirtual knowlege
Neal: you are suppose to have some sort of upliftment
Neal: like inner peace
Sitaram: I will not lie to you, I am not always happy, but my
studies make it much easier for me to bear my sorrow and pain
Sitaram: sometimes, peace means making peace with our unhappiness,
though it is not necessarily honest to call that "Happiness"
Sitaram: Job, in the Old Testament Bible, is certainly not "happy",
but he certainly has made peace with his unhappiness
Sitaram: you may learn much indeed from reading what I have written,
and from chatting and corresponding with me from time to time
Neal: because I hear of people in india giving up everything
Sitaram: it will definitely change your life in some fashion
Neal: and reading and learning and spirtual knowlege lead them to
true happiness some time
Sitaram: here is a good page for you "Sadhus
Neal: thanks a lot
Sitaram:
http://www.geocities.com/tulsidas_ramayan/page238.htm
Sitaram: welcome... bye
Neal: I will read that , bye
Sitaram: see you later
