From the beginning, God has revealed himself to man. Since man was kicked
out of the Garden, man has perverted God's truth. After the flood, God gave
marching orders for man to fill the earth, but instead, they disobeyed and
clustered at Babel, where certain men rebelled even further by worshipping
idols instead of the true God. There at Babel, God confounded men's tongues,
so that people were forced to move away, dividing into language groups.
One of these groups was the group from which the Hebrew nation was
eventually formed. By the time the Hebrews were given the 10
commandments, pagan idolatry was rampant all over the world. Christianity
came out of the Jewish faith, and is a fulfilment of that faith.
I don't buy the arguements that Christianity is a pagan knock-off..I beleive
paganism is a perversion of the original 'religion'
founded by God in the beginning. All paganism has its origins in the lie Satan
used to tempt Eve. Actually, it goes back one step to Satan's sin of pride..
