I sort of feel like there are way too many different forums here. I think a new level of simplicity is called for. At least that's my opinion.

I am wondering what the "Guiness Book of Records" phpbb board is for the most forums...
I would like to create a personal forum for each member, where they are MOD.
The problem is, how to keep the main index page from reaching an unmanagable length...
One thought I had was to arrange usergroups... so that each group has a number of hidden private forums. Then, people could join and unjoin at will, and control the clutter on their screen. But trouble is, it seems that to join requires a moderators intervention. If you had a dummy moderator type than automatically approved... then people could reconfigure their memberships all day long....

You see, on an individual basis, I can configure any member to see just what they want when they log in...
I could even create some weird forums just for you, for example, hidden forums, assigned to a usergroup... then... everyone who joined that group, would see just those....but for now, they would await approval... from me... |

| Does seem like there's a lot of different forums. While I agree that a forum for discussion on the Sikh religion is worthwhile, couldn't some of them be merged? Just a thought, take from it what you will. |
