I must pray to Lord Google in search of this answer!

Well, I stand corrected!

Here is an interesting article. It seems that "stream of consciousness is the more frequently encountered expression.

It is wonderful that these forums, phpbb, and vBulletin and others, permit perennial editing. I could not write comfortably if I did not have the freedom to return hours later, or days, or weeks, and make additions or corrections. I try to be an honest and ethical person. I do not use this privilege of editing to go back and erase something incriminating.

Another forum I belong to suddenly limited everyone’s editing to 15 minutes after the post. I am not certain that phpbb software has a feature to limit that time. I shall pose the question by and by to forum.myfreeforum.org admin. But I can never imagine myself wanting to impose such a limitation.

I really admire what Voltaire said, "I cannot agree with what you say, but I shall defend to the death your right to say it?" Pretty extreme words. I cannot say that I have died yet for all of you. I suppose creating my own forum for the sake of free speech is as close to death as one comes in this virtual reality.

(by the way, my habit is to write for five minutes, post, and then reopen the post with edit, write for another five minutes, and post again.
This is a healthy practice, since you are less likely to loose 30 minutes or an hour's worth of writing because of some internet connection problem. It is also wise to capture everything in the paste buffer with a ctrl-A followed by a ctrl-C before you click upon the submit button.

I too think those words of Voltaire are extraordinary and if you really dwell on them they are pretty heavy.
I rather doubt that you have 'daily ramblings' of any sort.
your mind I think is much too logical and orderly, but it is poetic.

"a rose by another other name would smell as sweet." Shakespeare

Yah but personally I would rather not pick a fragrant flower called for instance catfish or garbage. Just would rather not.
