Now reading this novel by Nikolai Gogol. Not very far in at all, not even 20 pages. Gogol's writing style is interesting though, noticeably unique even in the early parts of the novel. His sentences are usually pretty long but they usually prove a point or describe something pointed out in the last sentence.

I will try to get a copy of Gogol's book.
I just purchased my first computer microphone today, only $10.
And I just spent 30 minutes talking with Bloaaple, who is a member of this message board, and he is in Pakistan near the Afghanistan/China borders. His English is excellent, and he is so well read in western books. He is also knowledgable in world politics, and has made some interesting points to me, since I am somewhat ignorant of current news and politics. How amazing to speak for free for 30 minutes with someone so far away!
